J. David Levy

David Levy:

J. David Levy is a retired business executive and now spends his time as a full time community volunteer, amateur photographer and grandfather.

David has been involved with community organizations for over thirty years and has been active in Jewish organizations (American Jewish Committee, St. Louis Jewish Community Relations Council, Temple Emanuel and Jewish Federation) and in the general community (Churchill School, United Way, FOCUS St. Louis and NCCJSTL). He is also an active volunteer for Opera Theatre of St. Louis and the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival.

David is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the University of Chicago School of Business. He and his wife, Lucy, have two married sons and are grandparents of three. David and Lucy spend part of the year in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

What David says about NCCJSTL:

"NCCJSTL is one of the most powerful forces in the St. Louis region fighting with a balanced view against all forms of bigotry and prejudice. Its training and in-depth preparation of leaders to understand the dynamics of hate and intolerance, and to bring about change, is second to none. NCCJSTL is able to bring great programming and thinking to our region's need to value and utilize the marvelous resources of our diversity."
