Building An Inclusive Community Workshop (Extended BIC PLUS)

Audience Building An Inclusive Community Workshop can be delivered in corporate, non-profit, community, faith or education settings.
Dates As scheduled
Cost Average cost of $275/participant;  $5,500 minimum per worshop of  20 participants; prorated for participants above 20
Client Responsibilities Provides venue, arranges for food for the day, and is responsible for recruiting a diverse class for the event.  NCCJ provides facilitators and training materials
Time Requirement 20 to 22 facilitation hours
Facilitation Team Race and gender diverse team of two facilitators per twenty to thirty participants

The Building An Inclusive Community Workshop - Extended (BIC PLUS)  is a two to two-and-one-half day community awareness workshop that provides awareness building through exercises, presentations, and facilitated dialogue.  The focus of this training process is to explore leadership issues related to bias, bigotry and racism as expressed both individually and institutionally in our society and within the context of organizational policies and operating procedures.  The training exposes individuals to the complexities of institutional racism and privilege in our society and teaches change agent skills to build an inclusive community.
