People of faith can and do have something important to  say about what the role of the U.S. should be in the world today.  While we believe in separation of church and state, we don't  believe people of faith should have to check their values at the  door when they enter into the fray of public discussion.  We need a  national discussion on the role of the U.S. in the world and people  of faith need to be a part of the discussion. - Rev. Bud Heckman,  Executive Director

About Religions for Peace “ USA: Religions for Peace “ USA is a national representative coalition of  religious leaders and their communities.  Religions for Peace - USA  gathers representatives of religious communities in the U.S.;  promotes multi-religious cooperation for peace and justice; builds  on the  spiritual, human, and institutional resources of its  communities; enhances mutual understanding; and acts for the common  good. It is comprised of representatives from over 50 distinct  religious communities in the U.S., including every major and most  minor religious traditions.

Religions for Peace - USA has three areas of focus for programming.  RFP-USA:

  1. brings together religious communities and their official  representatives for the purposes of building relationships,  ultimately creating space for effective interreligious participation  in human progress.
  2. builds community, which draws on the increasing religious,  cultural, ethnic, and racial diversity in our nation.
  3. advocates for responsibility of the U.S. as a citizen of the  global community with particular regard to peace, human rights, and development.
