SSM Health Care: Supporting NCCJSTL's Walk As One

SSM Health Care has set the all-time record for Walk As One Team participation and fundraising in St. Louis. The employees of SSM Health Care have raised over $35,000 for NCCJSTL's Anytown Youth Leadership Institute, one of St. Louis' premiere youth leadership and development programs and winner of the "What's Right With the Region Award in Racial Justice" presented by FOCUS-St. Louis.

Diversity is very important at SSM Health Care. Sister Mary Jean Ryan, President & CEO of SSM, believes that developing Empowered Leadership among St. Louis high school youth is an integral part of addressing racism and other oppression in the St.Louis Region. Her leadership in response to NCCJSTL's mission keyed SSM's dedication to excel in fund raising for Walk As One.

Now, more than ever SSM Health Care and other companies and organizations in the St. Louis Region, must work to promote understanding and respect among people of all races, religions and cultures.
